Keep running ahead, looking back only to make sure your boss is in your corner and that you invited many others to join you. I feel your pain, but please keep this in mind: the time is coming, and when it does you’re be ahead of the curve able to help IT and others. You’ll be running ahead again one day and over your shoulder will be a growing mass building momentum. My favorite saying by my buddy Bryan Rhoads: first there are pioneers, then come the settlers. Keep trailblazing and smiling!

I am not IT, I’m actually a software engineer. We have an IT department. I could often do a better job than what our IT department does. But I can’t do everything. It’s not that hard to find faults in other’s policies. Just look at our political system. Some of the greatest minds ever formed it, yet it’s broken because everything decided is a compromise or trade off. Maybe you shouldn’t hate on the geeks so much.
And I totally forgot what I was looking for when I accidentally stumbled upon this blog…

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your comment. Just wanted to point out that I love geeks. My ex is a system admin and my mom is software engineer. Geeky is good.
