Social Media Strategy - JenniferVanGrove.com

Attention — I’m actively searching for San Diego’s most eligible geeks. Think single, career-minded men who are on the rise in either the technology or web space, reside in San Diego county, and are open to being profiled on this blog (and getting dates).

Why am I Doing This?

First, I want to find these guys; I know you exist and I know you deserve more single-lady attention than you’re probably getting. Second, I think geeks are hot and I want to show the world, or maybe just my blog readers, why geeks are better than their counterparts when it comes to their careers, personal lives, and the rest of the package.

What’s in it for You?

If you’re an eligible geek, meet the qualifications, and want to participate in my social experiment (or know someone like that), the experience should be rather painless. I’ll want to get a pretty good feel about who you are, what you do, and why you’re awesome through email. Then, I’ll take you out to drinks to one of my favorite bars (I’ll treat of course), ask you a few questions, all of which are on the record, compile my notes, write a draft post, let you have a little veto power, publish it here and on my personal blog, which is all about dating and relationships, and then we’ll both watch what happens.

The Qualifications

  1. You’re single
  2. You’re employed in a technology or web-related field
  3. You’re looking to date and meet new people
  4. You’ve managed to find the delicate balance between business and pleasure

    Hi Jenn!

Too bad we don’t have someone in Sao Paulo doing the same thing as you there in San Diego.

Good luck with your search! :)

Ha ha.. I’m so happy to see this, for more reasons than one.

Pretty narrow defintiion of geeks you’ve got going here, though. I think this is sort of a hybrid geek, that needs it’s own name. Like.. metrosexual.. but for guys that are gay for avatars instead of Armani. What would that be…
